Week 14

When looking at the offense of a 8-5 Chicago Bears, lets just say I think we'd all agree that it has less than amazed anyone.  Offensive drives fall short, and the fail to integrate Matt Forte as a dominate force has played a role in losing the last 4 out of 5 games.  Chicago needs to assess how they want to characterize their offense.  With explosive weapons such as Brandon Marshall, Matt Forte, and Jay Cutler they need to realize that a TE is needed.  Kellen Winslow has less than impressed, and the lack of the ability to find another target other than Marshall continues to hurt the offense.  And lets face it injuries might not help the situation, however last season you could say was worse to this point.  With Brian Urlacher, Lance Louis, and Tim Jennings sustaining injuries in the last few weeks the Bear defense that was once feared early season has now been broken.  Jennings through Week 13 led the league with 8 interceptions while playing next to Pro Bowler Charles Tillman who has lead the league in forced fumbles with 9.

While playing the division leading Green Bay Packers next week Chicago looks for a home victory to stop Green Bay from winning the division.  With last weeks loss to Minnesota, and previous weeks loss to the Seahawks, Chicago has loss the division lead over Green Bay and given up the lead spot for the Wild Card.  Now Chicago is battling for the sixth spot in the Wild Card fighting teams such as Minnesota, Washington, Dallas and a hopeful St. Louis for a playoff berth.  In order for Chicago to be a playoff contending team they have to realize that sloppy football will ruin a season, and leave Bears fans yet again be hoping for next year.

The defense couldn't have been playing any stronger.  Phil Emery the Chicago Bears GM has been very happy with the way the veterans have performed and stepped up.  They are making the key plays and scoring more touchdowns than some offenses in the league!

Couch Lovie Smith has been excited for the overall play of the team.  Defense is strong, offense has begun to get a flow together.  With the emergence of Brandon Marshall Da Bears have been extremely happy with how well his play has been.  It's been consistent and Jay Cutler and Marshall are starting to be the dominant force they were in Denver!

Michigan just doesn't have it this year. Denard Robinson isn't the answer, he has way to many turnovers and the Michigan offense is struggling due to it.

Presidential debate! Watching this only makes me realize how many times each can repeat themselves. Can't wait for the election.
